Maria Alverez Malvido

María Alvarez Malvido is a M.A student in Communications and Technology at the University of Alberta.
She is interested in community media, digital storytelling, and community-based uses of digital technologies. As a Research Assistant, she collaborates with Piikani Digital Literacy Camp with Blackfoot youth in Alberta, and with DigitalNWT supporting curriculum development and train-the-trainer methodology.
María is from Mexico, where she is a member of Redes A.C, a Non-Governmental Organization that collaborates with diverse Indigenous radio projects and community networks. She is also a freelance writer and photographer.
